Ivana Helsinki: New Finnish Design is a bold, energetic and colorful overview of the recent history of fashion. This exhibition returns to the year 1998 and the roots of this internationally esteemed brand, with information on its history and current international renown. It will be the first joint display of the 30 collections that have been presented over a period of 15 years. Ivana Helsinki is the only Nordic actor in the fashion industry that has been included in the official calendar of showings of both the Paris and New York fashion weeks. The exhibition features unique, one-off garments from fashion shows, colorful patterned fabrics, nostalgic photographs and historical documentations of fashion shows. The exhibition provides a thorough background of the identity of the Ivana Helsinki brand and a visually delectable, while personal, overview of the recent history of Finnish fashion design. The world premiere for the exhibition was in 2013 at the Design museum in Helsinki. The exhibition is open for public Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 4pm.
