Come Celebrate Finland's Centennial With Us!
Finland's centennial year culminates in the Independence Day on December 6. You are warmly welcome to join us celebrating 100 years of Finnish independence a little in advance!
The Embassy of Finland in collaboration with Dupont Festival organize a FinFun event at Dupont Circle on Saturday, December 2. We have the honor of welcoming a special guest to Washington: the one and only Santa Claus, all the way from Finnish Lapland!
We’ll have holiday handicrafts and other fun activities for kids, and everyone is welcome to sing in our karaoke tent. If you don't feel like singing yourself, male choir Keravan Mieslaulajat will keep up the jolly spirit by performing every hour on the half hour (11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm and 2:30pm).
We’ll also offer Finnish gingerbread cookies and glögi, a non-alcoholic mulled wine.
The event is free and open for all, no RSVP needed.
